Teton Russet

Teton Russet

The Teton Russet is the product of a 14-year research cooperative between the USDA, University of Idaho, Oregon State University, and Washington State University potato breeding programs. With its acceptance, the Teton Russet became the ninth variety of potato to be used by McDonald’s in North America.

The Teton Russet is a cross between the Blazer Russet and Classic Russet. The tubers are oblong with moderate russet, good skin, and shallow eyes.

Noted for both fresh market and processing. Produces excellent fries.
