EAGLE, ID, May 16, 2023 – The Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) was declared the Grand Champion at the National Agri-Marketing Association’s (NAMA) award show held on April 26 in St. Louis, MO for its public relations campaign Frites by Idaho. In February 2022 the French fry-scented perfume created a PR frenzy – selling out within hours and generating international publicity, including coverage on The Stephen Colbert Show, FOX News Sunday With Shannon Bream, Access Hollywood, The Kelly Clarkson Show and the BBC.

Eagle, Idaho, March 29, 2023 – The Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) and the American Diabetes Association® (ADA) have announced a multi-year partnership making fresh Idaho® potatoes the first vegetable to participate in the ADA’s esteemed, Better Choices for Life program. The purpose of the partnership is to help educate tens of millions of Americans on ways they can add Idaho potatoes to their meal plan.

EAGLE, ID, February 22, 2023 – The Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) is partnering with Van Leeuwen, a New York-based nationally beloved brand known for their made-from-scratch dairy and vegan ice creams, to create a limited-edition ice cream representing one of America’s favorite food pairings, Idaho® potato French fries and milkshakes. The limited-edition malted milkshake flavored ice cream with French fry bites will be available to purchase through Van Leeuwen’s website and in all scoop shops in Los Angeles and New York starting February 23rd.

EAGLE, ID, November 2, 2022 – During the Idaho Potato Commission's (IPC) October meeting, two new Commissioners representing the grower and shipper industries were sworn in. Daren Bitter of Bittersweet Farms and Brian Jones of Sun Valley Potatoes will each serve three-year terms. Commissioners Bryan Wada and Paul Saito were sworn in for their second terms and now serve as Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively.

EAGLE, ID, October 18, 2022 – The Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) recently announced the addition of Sam Eaton as the new Vice President of Legal and Government Affairs. The former Director of Policy and Counsel for Governor Brad Little of Idaho will primarily manage the IPC’s government affairs at the federal, state and local levels, direct the IPC’s trademark licensing, and provide legal and regulatory advice to the Commission.
