Eagle, Idaho, February 25, 2021 -- The Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) gave cookbook author, journalist and award-winning food blogger Katie Workman a 10-pound bag of fresh Idaho^® potatoes and challenged her to make a week’s worth of potato dishes that can be reheated after a busy day at work. The Dinner Solved! author had no problem coming up with recipe ideas; the hard part was narrowing them down to five.

Eagle, Idaho, December 1, 2020 – Mark Daniels, a produce veteran with 35 years of industry experience, has joined the Idaho Potato Commission as Retail Promotion Director-Southeast.

Based in the Savannah, Georgia area, Daniels will provide category management, promotions and other marketing support tools to help category managers and buyers in the Southeast boost profitability in the rapidly evolving marketplace. He replaces Bill Savilonis, who has moved on after 28 years with IPC.

Idaho® potatoes recently partnered with the popular foodie website, The FeedFeed to create this uniquely delicious recipe. Simple yet sophisticated, this indulgent gratin is made with Idaho® potatoes, butter, heavy cream, cheddar and parmesan cheeses, sour cream and spices. Thinly sliced potatoes are coated in a mixture of butter, cheeses and sour cream then stacked into muffin pan cups, creating individual servings.

Eagle, Idaho, November 20, 2020 – This holiday season family gatherings will look a little different than past years. A survey conducted by the research firm Morning Consult found that 47% of families say they will cancel holiday get-togethers. Almost half say they will shift from in-person celebrations to virtual.

Eagle, Idaho, November 5, 2020 – During the Idaho Potato Commission’s (IPC) October meeting three new Commissioners representing the grower sector of the industry were sworn in. Ron Ambrose of Four Ace Farms in Wendell; Mark Darrington of Big D Farms in Declo and Eric Jemmett of J&S Farms in Parma will each serve a three-year term. Todd Cornelison of High Country Potatoes and Brett Jensen of Brett Jensen Farms were appointed Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively.

Eagle, Idaho, October 30, 2020 -- ESPN announced today that the Famous Idaho® Potato Bowl (FIPB) will kick off on Saturday, December 22 at 1:30pm MT at Boise State University’s Albertsons Stadium. It will be televised on ESPN, reaching millions of viewers.
